Roxy inspired my passion for what is now a complete obsession with dogs and everything dog related. If you know me well, you know how real the obsession is. When I was 9 years old, my parents surprised my siblings and I with the sweetest puppy and we named her Roxy. Thinking back, it's pretty crazy we didn't add a dog to our family until I was 9, but I guess you could say we're making up for it now with 3 dogs of our own who are all rescues and "foster fails".

Fast forward to when I was in high school, I learned the devastating news that perfectly healthy and deserving companion animals like dogs and cats were being killed at shelters in my very own city. When I first became educated about kill-shelters I really didn't want to believe it. There's no way that actually happens! Well, the sad fact is that it is VERY true and real.

This year, will be my 7th year as a rescue volunteer and foster. I've cried a lot and at times I am hopeless for the dogs who don't make it out alive. But when I receive adoption updates from loving families, it makes the emotional roller coaster well worth it.

Over the past 7 years, Roxy was there to welcome every dog no matter the age, breed, or temperament into her home. She put up with a lot, and I never had to worry about her losing her cool.

Roxy was a mother to all.

When I was in my senior year at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Roxy lost her battle to cancer at the young age of 12. I was devastated and heartbroken. It felt like there was nothing I could ever do to take away the pain of losing my best friend. Until I dreamt up, Roxy & Co.

I love shopping for my dogs, but I was getting tired of the same old look of collars, leashes, etc. My vision for Roxy & Co. is to make pretty accessories that I would buy for my own dogs. When designing the construction of the merchandise, I knew everything had to be comfortable, lightweight, and stand out from the pack with bold colors and prints. I hope you enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed designing them!
